Follow the elephants being taken down to the river, a short walk away and spend about 2 to 3-hours watching them play in the water.

    • Yala National Park has a variety of ecosystems including moist monsoon, dry monsoon, semi-deciduous, thorn, grasslands, freshwater and marine wetlands, and sandy beaches. The national park is situated in the dry semi-arid climatic region. 
    • There are 215 bird species in the park; of which, six are endemic to Sri Lanka. 44 species of mammals are resident in Yala National Park, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. 
    • You can see Sloth Bear, Leopard, Elephant, and Wild water buffaloes which are threatened species. 
    • Toque Macaque, Golden Palm Civet, Red Slender Loris, and Fishing Cat are among the other mammals you might come across.

    • Visit Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is also known as the Dutch Fort or the Ramparts of Galle in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It was first built in 1588 by the Portuguese and then was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards.
    • Head to International Cricket Stadium, Galle, which is situated near the Galle fort. It is considered to be one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world.
    • Proceed to Galle Clock Tower located within the Galle Fort. The Clock Tower is a popular landmark and overlooks the central Moon Bastion on the site of the former guard room. The Clock Tower was constructed in 1883.
    • Next, visit Galle Lighthouse, Sri Lanka's oldest light station dating back to 1848.
    • Finally, head to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure flight.
