Morning pick-up by your personal guide at your hotel and drive (1-2 hours) through the picturesque landscape and along lush green rice terraces.With a few photo stops along the way, you will reach the mountain slopes of Mt.Batukaru, the second highest mountain on Bali.
Before you start the adventurous jungle trek you visit the holy temple Pura Luhur Batukaru.This is important to “asks” the spirits of the forest for permission to enter their realm.
The nature reserve around Mt.Batukaru offers one of the most beautiful and pristine rainforests in Bali.Equipped with walking stick, you´ll hike through the green jungle with huge ferns and old trees.Crossing small, clear rivers you always follow the local ranger, who will accompany you in addition to your personal guide. The ranger knows the jungle inside out and can explain you all details about flora and fauna of the rainforest. The chirping of a bird or the call of a monkey - he knows which animal is behind it.And he shows you also some jungle survival techniques - a truly extraordinary nature experience.
The highlight in between is a picnic stop in the heart of the rainforest with freshly brewed coffee and Balinese snacks.
After this active adventure you can enjoy the scenic drive to an idyllic mountain village.A relaxed, short hike takes you along the beautiful rice terraces to Balikaru activity center.On the way, your guide will explain the various tropical plants that either grow wild here or are cultivated by the people of the small mountain village.
And that's not all there is to know - welcome to Balikaru! Stroll through the lush, tropical garden with more than 40 different plants, herbs, and spices.They all have a role in traditional medicine or Balinese cuisine, and your guide can explain it to you in detail.A healthy Jamu drink will serve you.Additionally, you can relax with a 15-minute massage; both together will give you back the energy you need after the hike.
Time for lunch at Warung Balikaru.Warung means "small restaurant" in Indonesia and this is the perfect place to relax after an exciting and active day of trekking.Find your favourite spot while the "good spirits" of Balikaru prepare your lunch.Enjoy the tasty dish and the wonderful view of the garden.
Say good bye and go for a walk through the picturesque mountain village.If the sky is clear you´ll have a fantastic view of the volcano Batukaru and two others - a stunning mountain panorama.
You reach the lower village, where you´ve time to visit Belulang hot springs.It´s a sulphur spring with many healing properties and the sacred spring is often visited by locals to take a soothing bath.
Your driver is waiting and together with your guide you drive on off the beaten trek.You stop at Yeh Ho waterfall, an idyllic waterfall surrounded by beautiful rice terraces and embedded in idyllic nature.Enjoy the moment and take time for a few souvenir photos before you arrive back later at your accommodation in Bali at around 5 pm.

Your personal guide will pick you up in the morning, drive through the picturesque, tropical landscape and along lush green rice terraces.Depending on where you are picked up, the journey takes between one and two hours.Of course, there is time for a photo stop along the way, as the drive to the slopes of Mt Batukaru offers some wonderful views.

Lunch break at Warung Balikaru and time to relax.The charming Warung (Indonesian for small restaurant) is the perfect place to relax after an exciting and active day of trekking.Find your favorite spot while the "good spirits" of Balikaru prepare your lunch.A Balinese Nasi Campur Tumpeng is served - a very traditional dish consisting of various meat and vegetable dishes.The rice is served in a very special form in a banana leaf - called Tumpeng.
Enjoy the tasty dish and the wonderful view of the garden, where the rooster or our mascot - the shepherd dog Susan - also feel at home.
Note: If you are looking for a place to freshen up after the trek, the Balikaru Activity Center has changing facilities, toilets and showers.

After the lunch break, hike through the picturesque village of Belulang, which is located at the foothills of Batukaru.If the weather is fine, you will have a fantastic view of the Batukaru volcano and two others - a stunning mountain panorama.
When you reach the lower village, the driver is already waiting for you.But before you head on your way back, there is still time to visit the Belulang hot springs.The traditional sulphur spring has many healing properties and the sacred spring is often visited by locals to take a soothing bath.You are also welcome to take a short dip.
