   5 minutes from the Arches, connecting Santa Teresa to Lapa, there is the famous Selaron steps, a stairway decorated with colorful tiles.Known for its energetic bohemian vibe, “Lapa” is the most buzzing area in town day and nighttime.Arguably the most colorful area in Rio to drink and taste the best typical food.

   While caipirinha may well be the national drink, what Brazilians truly love is an extra cold beer or chopp (draft beer) for Brazil’s hot and humid days.It is widely available in bars, in restaurants, and in brew-pubs specialized in chops, snack foods, conversation and music.
