Description

Visit Colonia de Sacramento, the historic district declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. With our package 2 days in Colonia from Buenos Aires, you will see the coexistence of Portuguese colonial style buildings with Spanish style homes, while walking through its cobbled streets. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery and wonderful views of the Rio de la Plata. Itinerary
  • Day 1: Arrival in Colonia del Sacramento and City Tour
    Day 1 :

    Around 7 AM, a driver will pick you up to take to the ferry port where you will need to be at least 1 hour prior ferry departure time. At 9 AM approximately, the ferry departs and starts sailing during 1.15 hours. Here, you will be able to enjoy all the facilities the ship offers, whether sitting in your comfortable seats or out to the balconies. 

    By mid-morning, you will arrive to Colonia del Sacramento where you will be picked up by a private car that will bring you to your hotel. 

    At 3 PM, you will be picked up from your hotel to start a city tour of 2 hours. Your guide will tell you all the details of the most important places of the area, which made Colonia declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. After this visit, you will return to your hotel at approximately 5:30 PM.

    You will start our visit by the industrial zone and the Ferrando Park, followed by the area of Real de San Carlos. You will make a stop at the Chapel of San Benito and the Mihanovich Complex. Here you will see the old hotel that is now the headquarter of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Plaza de Toros, the Fronton, the racecourse, the Usina and the Colonia dock.

    You will continue along the west coast and its beaches. You will visit different residential neighborhoods until you finally reach the city center. You will enter the historic district through the Portón del Campo at the old city of Colonia del Sacramento.

  • Day 2: Free Morning and Return to Buenos Aires
    Day 2 :

    In the morning, you will have breakfast at your hotel and have the rest of the morning to continue discovering Colonia, its culture and gastronomy. 

    You will go back to your hotel to pick your luggage and at 2:30 PM, a private car will take you back to the ferry terminal. You will depart at 4 PM, arriving around 5:15 PM in Buenos Aires.
