Meet with the rest of the group in Paphos and follow our path to the foot of the mountains among vineyards, where lies Omodos village, protected by UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). We will walk through its narrow cobbled streets and visit Timios Stavros Monastery, famous for containing a piece of the Holy Cross and Rope.

  • Enjoy wine tasting at Lambouri Wineryexpand_more

Continue the journey stopping at the winery, where you will have a chance to taste Commandaria and Zivania, among other local wines.

  • Visit Trooditissa Monasteryexpand_more

Trooditissa Monastery is situated on the southern slopes of the Troödos Mountains on the island of Cyprus. It is an Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It was founded in 990, but the current building dates back to 1731. It is built at an altitude of 1,500m (4566 feet), and the closest village is Plátres.

  • See Kykkos Monastery (Panagia tou Kykkou)expand_more

Head to the top of the Troodos Mountains to visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios, the first President of Cyprus.

Drive through the mountain villages of Pedoulas and Prodromos to the richest and most famous monastery of the island, Kykkos monastery. One of the miraculous icons of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have been painted by St. Luke during her lifetime, is kept here.

After that, enjoy local food at a restaurant and do some shopping in the square in front of the monastery.

  • Admire Aphrodite's Petra tou Romiouexpand_more

On the way back to Paphos, visit the birthplace of Aphrodite – this is one of the most stunning places on the coast of Cyprus, where, and for a good reason, Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam. It is believed that bathing in these waters prolongs youth and beauty; we will have the opportunity to make sure of this ourselves.
