- This museum will expose the ills of slavery at the Cape to the travellers. This Museum provides much information about when slavery was introduced at the Cape and when. It also tells the origins of the slave community and who the enslavers were. Travellers will experience the life of an enslaved person at the Cape through a video which plays over and over again same historical series of slavery. Here you will learn about the slave trade routes, the harsh conditions enslaved people were exposed to, and the inhuman equipment used to control and torture enslaved people.
- This museum tells the travellers how non-whites have forcibly removed an area declared white only by the apartheid government in 1966. These removals occurred in 1968 and resulted in townships where people were settled according to their racial groupings. Travellers will learn the events leading to the forced removals and the effects of this inhuman act by the government of apartheid.
- This is a structure which the Dutch built between 1667 and 1672. Travellers will explore the oldest standing colonial building in South Africa and one of the most preserved structures of the Dutch East India Company worldwide. Travellers can take a walk in this pentagon-shaped Castle which was the centre of civilian and military life at the Cape. The Dutch and British governments used this Castle as governments changed hands at the Cape. A canon is fired in the Castle every day at noon.
