At the farm, you’ll meet adorable, friendly reindeer and get to feed them by hand.Your guide will share stories about reindeer herding which has been practiced for generations at the family owned farm.You'll also enjoy a peaceful 1-kilometre sleigh ride, with two adults sharing one reindeer sleigh — a truly local experience.After the ride, you can take photos, warm up inside the cosy farmhouse, and enjoy a hot drink and a delicious sweet local snack.This tour is a great mix of adventure and culture, perfect for couples, families, and nature lovers visiting Levi.

The driving time is approximately 1.5 - 2 hours and the driving distance depends on the driving skills of the group.

Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding is possible for an extra charge.

Children 4 - 14 years will travel in a sleigh pulled behind the guide's snowmobile when child price is paid.Please note, that we do not recommend snowmobile safaris for children under 4 years for their own comfort and safety.

Children over 140 cm can sit on a snowmobile, when paying adult price for the tour.

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license.Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour.According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted.If you do not bring your physical driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.

Itinerary

13:30 – Meeting the guide and preparations

The guide will meet you in the car park of Levi Tourist Information Centre in Myllyjoentie 2, [sensitive content] Sirkka.The transfer to the Safari Centre will depart at 13:30.

If you have your own transport you can come directly to Wild Nordic Levi Safari Centre at Tunturitie 2, [sensitive content].We are located downstairs of the gas station.Please arrive at 13:30 to meet the guide.
Before the activity starts, we will provide warm winter clothing and do other preparations.

What's Included

1 km reindeer sledge ride, reindeer feeding and stories of the reindeer and the reindeer herder way of life.

Hot drink and sweet bun at cozy farm house.

Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, a balaclava and helmet).

Snowmobile driving includes instructions and a safety briefing.Two adults ride on one snowmobile.The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes - 2 hours.

Short stops throughout the tour to take photos of the beautiful scenery.

Guidance is in English, other languages on request.

Round trip transfer from the meeting point.

Transfers to and from this activity are included.If you do not have your own transportation and you wish to be picked up from Levi centre, please choose “pick-up” when making a booking.

The pick-up meeting point is in front of the Levi Tourist Information centre at Myllyjoentie 2, [sensitive content] Kittilä.The transfer departs 30 minutes before the start of the tour.

Snowmobile tours are

Not suitable for pregnant women

Due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.

The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile.The self liability amount for any damage is a flat rate of 900€.By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 200€/driver/accident case.
