Sarek and Padjelanta National Park, are the dreamed place for trekking lovers.The parks are worldwide renowned thanks to their impressive and unique mountain landscape, fauna and flora.As much as the Sami communities living there and gathering their reindeer herds that graze during summer.The winter leave the place isolated and mystical.This sharp seasonal change of this region offer the enthusiasts an unforgettable spectacle all year round.

The totally wild Unesco site is very protected and is one of the only area in Europe still entirely virgin now a days, covered by mountains, valleys and lakes.The mountain range is ideal for trekking flora observation and wild life spotting.If you are looking to hike for days and overcome yourself in a beautiful adventure then pick up the challenge and go for a complete autonomy trekking throughout the three national parks neighboring each other: Sarek, Padjelanta and Stora Sjöfallet.There you will see herds of reindeers belonging to the Sami people.If you are lucky, you might see an elk and why not a wolverine or even an eagle.

What To Bring

Know that the night might be chilly even though the sun will be up all the time.It could even get as low as 0°C at times.The sleeping bags we provide can handle it but some people need some extra under layer clothing.It’s for you to decide.

Have your packing as light as you can.You’ll save energy and have a better time not thinking how much you’re suffering.When packing at home and if you asked me to, you'll have to think that I'll bring food to you for the whole week and that will have to fit it in your backpack.About 2,5kg food burner and gas tent and such, etc.Just to give you an idea.

No network coverage up there.You’re in the wild.

A backpack 80L

Hiking shoes (one that covers the ankles, waterproof and are made to carry heavy gear)

Hiking socks 2*2 (a pair made of thin wool and a second made of thicker wool)

Sandals (no flip flops)

Hiking trousers (NO jeans)

A warm sweater for the evening.Wool at best otherwise flees (NO cotton)

Rain clothes (trousers and jacket, no ski clothing)

Change of clothes

Towel (small one)

Waterproof bag if you have

A small knife

Sun cream

Hat

Sunglasses (extremely important cause of the snow reflection)

Mosquito repellent

Toothbrush and so on (NO soap unless 100% certified natural)

Lip balm

Gloves

Personal belongings

Personal medication if any

Energy bars or nuts (think about your own needs on extra energy)

Your camera with charger and power bank (no power at all during the whole trip)

You can maybe allow yourself a 300gm book that you'd really like to read during the evenings or something to write your memories on ;)
