Description
Discover Skopelos like never before on an easygoing hike through one of Greece’s lushest landscapes—where emerald hills meet sapphire seas. This guided journey is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone craving a peaceful escape into the island's wild heart.
At 9:00 AM, we depart from Skopelos Town.A comfortable bus ride takes us uphill to Pirgos, reaching an altitude of 340 meters—giving us a head start before our descent begins.
From here, the adventure continues on foot. The 6-kilometer downhill trail winds gently through a dreamlike setting of olive groves, towering cypress, wild figs, and the island’s signature pine forests.Did you know Skopelos is home to up to eight million pine trees? It’s a living, breathing forest paradise bursting with fragrant herbs and colorful wildflowers.
Our first pause is at a local vineyard, where we take in the rustic charm of Skopelos' winemaking tradition.Shortly after, we reach the tiny hidden chapel of Panagitsa (dedicated to the Virgin Mary) for a moment of serenity and a quick rest.
As we continue, panoramic views unfold—stretching across the Aegean Sea to Pelion on the mainland, the mystical island of Evia, and the sparkling Pagasetic Gulf. It’s the kind of scenery that makes you stop in your tracks.
Our final destination is the idyllic beach of Panormos, where you’ll have time to swim in crystal-clear waters, enjoy a leisurely lunch by the sea, or simply unwind on the sun-warmed sand.
