Kalapatthar Helicopter Flight to Lukla and Kathmandu

Morning Departure from Kalapatthar

Most helicopter flights from Kalapatthar operate in the early morning, so an early start is required. Reaching Kalapatthar - the highest point of the Everest Base Camp journey - takes approximately 2 to 3 hours from Gorakshep. Kalapatthar offers the closest and most breathtaking views of Mount Everest.

Helicopter Boarding & Flight to Lukla

Due to thin air and high altitude, the helicopter can accommodate a maximum of three passengers at Kalapatthar, with a combined weight limit of 240 kg. The helicopter flight from Kalapatthar to Lukla takes approximately 20 minutes.

Stopover in Lukla

The helicopter will land in Lukla for refueling, which usually takes around 1 hour. During this stop, passengers may explore the Lukla Airport area and relax while waiting.
