The journey
Take a short tour of the Kathmandu Valley, perfect for those who have very little time to see the mountain glory of Nepal. Also known as the Kathmandu Valley Rim Trekking route, this hike circles the capital valley and starts from Sundarijal, just 13 km from Kathmandu city. Explore Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, and more.

Head for Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and explore:
Patan Durbar Square
Boudhanath Stupa
Pashupatinath Temple
Overnight at Kathmandu.
After breakfast, drive for two hours from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, which is the starting point of the hike.
From Sundarijal, the trek moves forward to Mulkharaka village and up to Bhanjang.
Get a clear view of the snow-capped mountains from Mulkharaka village.
After Bhanjang, the trail descends to Chisapani, which is at an altitude of 2,150 meters.
Overnight at Chisapani.
The journey continues from Chisapani to Nagarkot. The hiking trail is easy, and you get a good view of the Himalayas, including Ganesh, Langtang, Makalu, Manaslu, and others. The journey takes around 5 hours at a slow walking pace.

In the morning, enjoy the sunrise above the high mountains.
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu with a stop at Bhaktapur. The place has the best-preserved palace courtyards and the old city of Nepal. The town is rich in culture, temples, and wood and stone artwork.

Drive for one hour from Bhaktapur to Kathmandu.
Enjoy leisure time or walk around nearby places, or use the time to pack for departure.
Transfer to the international airport for departure.
