Arrival in Kathmandu and Trip Orientation

  • Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446 m).

Rest Day in Namche Bazaar

  • Rest in Namche Bazaar.

  • You can also opt for an excursion to Namche Bazaar and Syangboche Village.

Climb Kalapatter and Return to Lobuche

  • Nepal entry visa fee (USD 25 for 15 days/USD 40 for 30 days from the date of issue). You may easily get a Nepal visa upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.

  • International airfare

  • Traveller's insurance

  • Cold drinks (alcohol and soft drinks)

  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, or early return from the mountain (due to any reason) beyond the scheduled itinerary

  • Boiled water, hot showers, mineral water, battery charging, and hot drinks

  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu (approx. USD 10-12)

  • Bar bills, telephone bills, and other personal expenses (shopping/laundry)

  • Tips for the guide and porter

  • All expenses due to unavoidable events, e.g. personal illness, strikes, etc.

  • Helicopter evacuation charges in case of an emergency while trekking

  • Drinking water on the trek. You can buy it in a number of places for between USD 1 and USD 3 per bottle, and it gets more expensive towards Base Camp. A better solution is to buy water tablets in Kathmandu for around USD 2 and treat the water. Your guide can help you find good places to fill your water bottle.

  • Wi-Fi, battery charging, and hot showers on the trek. Wi-Fi is available in some tea houses for USD 3 to USD 5 per hour. Hot showers are also available in a few places for around USD 4, and charging costs about USD 1.50 per hour.

  • Unforeseen costs due to flight cancellation, weather conditions, etc. You are responsible for extra hotel nights (USD 30/night) and meals in Kathmandu for any extra days in Nepal due to flight delays.
