Itinerary

Day 1: Into the Heart of the Maasai Mara
- Depart early morning from Nairobi and drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
- Arrive at Zebra Plains Mara Camp in time for lunch.
- Enjoy an exhilarating afternoon game drive to spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, and other iconic wildlife.
- Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Exploration
- Embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch in the Maasai Mara.

- Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and rest.

Know Before You Go

Transportation: This is a road safari with daily drives between destinations. Travel times can vary depending on road conditions.

Accommodation: The tour uses a circuit of mid-range lodges and camps, which offer a great balance of comfort, authenticity, and value.

Tipping: Tipping is a customary way to show appreciation for good service. A common guideline is US$10 per person per day for your driver/guide.

Meals and Drinks: While most meals are included as per the itinerary, some are at your own expense. Only bottled drinking water is included; other drinks are not.

Optional Activities: The optional Maasai village visit is not included in the tour price and can be arranged with your guide.

Luggage: It is recommended to use soft-sided bags for easier packing in the safari vehicle.

What To Bring

Clothing: Pack lightweight, breathable clothing in neutral safari colors (khaki, brown, olive). A warm fleece or jacket is essential for cool mornings and evenings

Footwear: Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are best for game drives. You may also want a pair of sandals for relaxing at the lodge

Sun Protection: A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen are vital

Electronics: A camera with a good zoom lens, extra batteries, memory cards, and binoculars are recommended

Health: Bring any personal medication, a basic first-aid kit, and an effective insect repellent

Other: A small daypack, a headlamp, and a copy of your passport
