Day 01

Full-Day Trek on the Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

• Pick-up from your hotel in Moshi at around 7:30 am or Arusha at around 6:00 am.

• Drive through local villages and lush landscapes to Marangu Gate (1,860 m).

• Complete registration and meet your trekking crew.

• Trek through montane rainforest, spotting blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and exotic birds along the way.

• Reach Mandara Hut (2,700 m) and enjoy a packed lunch.

• Take an optional short walk to Maundi Crater for panoramic views.

• Descend back through the rainforest to Marangu Gate in 2-3 hours.

• Drive back to Moshi or Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.

• Receive a day hike certificate of participation.
