The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Amboseli and Afternoon Game Drive

Depart Nairobi and drive to Amboseli (approximately 4-5 hours).
Enjoy an afternoon game drive with iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions.

Overnight at a lodge or camp in Amboseli.

Day 02

Full Day of Wildlife Viewing in Amboseli

Set out for morning and afternoon game drives across Amboseli's plains and swamps.
Observe large elephant herds, diverse wildlife, and scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge.

Day 03

Amboseli to Lake Naivasha with Boat Ride and Walk

Enjoy a short morning game drive in Amboseli.
Transfer to Lake Naivasha (approximately 5-6 hours).
Take an afternoon boat ride to spot hippos, fish eagles, and waterbirds.
Join a guided walking safari on Crescent Island among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Day 04

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

An optional Maasai village visit is available in the evening.

Day 07

Masai Mara to Isebania Border

Transfer in the morning to the Isebania border (approximately 4-5 hours).
Cross into Tanzania to continue your safari into the Serengeti or other destinations.

Travel distances - expect long drives between destinations: Nairobi-Amboseli (approximately 4 hours), Amboseli-Naivasha (approximately 5-6 hours), Naivasha-Nakuru (approximately 2 hours), Nakuru-Masai Mara (approximately 5-6 hours), and Mara-Isebania (approximately 4-5 hours).
Border crossing at Isebania - carry your valid passport, visa (if required), and yellow fever vaccination certificate for entry into Tanzania.
Park entry fees - confirm if these are included in your package; each park has separate entry fees.
Game drives - early morning and late afternoon drives offer the best wildlife sightings.
Wildlife sightings - abundant, but not guaranteed; patience enhances the safari experience.
Weather - Amboseli is generally dry and dusty, Naivasha is cooler by the lake, Nakuru has a moderate climate, and the Mara can be warm with possible rain, so pack layers.
