Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

   • Begin the adventure with a scenic flight from Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve, approximately one hour in duration.

   • Arrive at the airstrip and meet your safari guide for an exciting game drive across the reserve’s diverse landscapes, including riverbanks, open plains, and dense woodlands.

   • Observe wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, and potentially lions or leopards.

   • Pause for a hearty lunch and some rest at your lodge or tented camp.

   • Continue the day with a sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River, enjoying close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife as the golden light reflects on the water.

   Overnight stay at Africa Safari Selous (Campsite).

2. Day 2: Zanzibar Island

   • Start the day with an early breakfast at the campsite.

   • Embark on a morning game drive in Selous Game Reserve, taking advantage of peak wildlife activity to spot predators on the move or observe animals gathering at watering holes.

   • Return to the airstrip for a mid-morning flight back to Zanzibar.

   • Arrive in Zanzibar by early afternoon, leaving time to relax at your beach hotel or continue with onward travel plans, concluding a memorable 2-day safari and island experience.
