Fly south to Arbaminch to immerse yourself in the traditions of the Dorze people at Chencha village, taste their unique false banana bread, and sample local “Araki.” Cruise across Lake Chamo to view hippos and Africa’s largest crocodiles, take a guided walk in Nechisar National Park, and unwind in the Forty Springs.

Day 1 – Addis Ababa City Tour
- Pick up from Bole International Airport or your hotel in Addis Ababa.
Begin a guided city tour of the capital, visiting the National Museum of Ethiopia to see “Lucy” and other archaeological treasures.
Visit Trinity Cathedral, an important religious landmark and resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie.
Explore Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa.
Drive to Mount Entoto for panoramic views of the city and to visit its historical palace and museum.
Continue with other notable city attractions based on available time.

Day 2 – Flight to Arbaminch and Visit to Dorze Village
- Have an early breakfast and take a flight south to Arbaminch, a gateway to exploring the Omo Valley tribes.
Upon arrival, drive to Chencha village to meet the Dorze people, renowned for their cotton weaving, group dancing, and industrious lifestyle.
Visit their traditional beehive-shaped houses.
Learn how false banana leaves are scraped, chopped, and baked into bread, then taste the bread with hot pepper mixed with honey.
Enjoy a sip of “Araki,” a locally made vodka-like drink.
Return to Arbaminch and wrap up the day’s experiences.

Day 3 – Lake Chamo and Nechisar National Park
- In the morning, take a boat ride on Lake Chamo to see hippos and the large African crocodiles that bask along the shore.
Return to the hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon, drive to Nechisar National Park for a short walk under the canopy of giant trees near the park headquarters.
- End the day with a swim in the “Forty Springs,” the natural springs after which Arbaminch is named.

Day 4 – Return to Addis Ababa and Departure
- Have breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
Spend the rest of the day visiting remaining city attractions and enjoying shopping opportunities.
Transfer to your preferred location in Addis Ababa for drop-off.
