Itinerary

1. Day 1: Explore Addis Ababa

   • Arrive in Addis Ababa and transfer to your hotel.

   • Embark on a city tour to visit the National Museum of Ethiopia.

   • Visit Trinity Cathedral, a major religious landmark.

   • Explore Markato, the largest open-air market in Africa.

   • Ascend Mount Entoto for panoramic views of the city.

   Spend the night at the hotel.

2. Day 2: Discover Harar and Its Unique Culture

   • Take the morning flight to Dire Dawa and drive 42 kilometers to Harar.

   • Check in to your hotel.

   • Explore the old city where the Harari people, the original settlers, live.

   • Visit colorful markets offering various commodities including "Chat" (a stimulating green leaf).

   • Tour ancient mosques and private Harari houses decorated with basketry and earthenware.

   • Experience the evening hyena feeding ritual by hand and mouth.

   Spend the night at the hotel.

3. Day 3: Return to Addis Ababa and Further Exploration

   • Check out of your hotel and drive to Dire Dawa for your flight back to Addis Ababa.

   • Visit the old train station built in the early 20th century during King Menelik’s reign (time permitting).

   • Explore more of Addis Ababa with additional city tours or activities.

   • Arrange drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
