Itinerary

1. Day 1: Pick Up from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • Your driver-guide from Safari Vacations and Travel Services will pick you up at the airport or hotel in Kigali.

   • Embark on a brief city tour including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda's tragic history in 1994.

   • Visit Kimironko Market if time permits.

   • Have lunch in Kigali.

   • Begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

   • Arrive at your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

   • Wake up early for breakfast.

   • Head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations.

   • Form a group of eight and begin trekking to find a habituated gorilla family.

   • Spend one hour observing the gorillas and their behavior.

   • Return to the starting point and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

   • Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking, Afternoon Boat Cruise, and Evening Game Drive

   • Have breakfast at the lodge.

   • Travel to Kalinzu Forest for a chimpanzee trekking briefing.

   • Trek into the forest in search of chimpanzees.

   • Spend one hour observing the chimpanzees’ behavior.

   • Return to the lodge for lunch.

   • Embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife.

   • Take an evening game drive to spot additional animals.

   • Return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Transfer to Kigali or Entebbe and End of Tour

   • Have breakfast at leisure.

   • Check out of the lodge.

   • Begin your journey back to Kigali or Entebbe.

   • Your driver-guide will drop you off at your preferred location.

   • End of your 4-day Uganda gorilla, chimpanzee, and wildlife safari experience.
