Itinerary

Day 1 – Shavat Border to Darvaza Gas Crater
- Cross the Shavat border and meet the Turkmen guide and driver.
Drive to Kunya-Urgench and explore the UNESCO-listed ancient capital of Khorezm.
Visit the Mausoleum of Turabek-Khanum.
Admire the Mausoleum of Il-Arslan.
See the Kutlug Timur Minaret.
Explore the Dash Mosque.
Drive through the Karakum Desert to reach the Darvaza Gas Crater (approximately 6–7 hours).
Arrive at the burning gas crater known as “The Door to Hell.”
Enjoy a barbeque dinner in a yurt camp.
Spend time by the fire pit and enjoy the view of the blazing crater until departure time.
Transfer to the train station to board the night train to Dashoguz.
Overnight on the train.

Day 2 – Dashoguz to Uzbekistan Border
- Arrive in Dashoguz early in the morning.
Visit a local cafe to have breakfast.
Transfer to the Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan border.
Cross the border to continue the journey.
