Itinerary

1. Day 1: Transfer to Tortuguero and Night Walk

   • Begin the day with a hotel pick-up at 6:30 AM from your selected location.

   • Drive across the country toward La Pavona, a small town on the Caribbean side.

   • Board a boat from La Pavona and cruise through the lush waterways to reach Tortuguero.

   • Check into your selected hotel upon arrival in Tortuguero.

   • Enjoy lunch at a local eatery and use the afternoon to explore the colorful town of Tortuguero.

   • Prepare for the evening night walk and meet your guide by 6:00 PM.

   • Embark on a guided nocturnal tour to observe local wildlife and nocturnal creatures.

2. Day 2: Wildlife Safari and Turtle Observation

   • Wake early and prepare for a morning tour through the Tortuguero National Park Canals.

   • Join your certified guide at 7:00 AM as the park opens.

   • Glide through the waterways in search of monkeys, birds, caimans, and other wildlife.

   • Use the safety equipment provided and enjoy a close-up look at the rainforest ecosystem.

   • Return to the starting point around midday.

   • Head to a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional Caribbean-style lunch.

   • Begin an afternoon guided walk through the trails of the National Park.

   • Discover the flora, fauna, and unique biodiversity of the area.

   • Take a break and relax at your hotel during the late afternoon.

   • Join your guide in the evening for a turtle observation activity along the beach, depending on the season.

   • Learn about the nesting behavior of sea turtles in their natural habitat.

3. Day 3: Leisure and Return

   • Spend the morning at leisure enjoying the beach or relaxing at the lodge.

   • Prepare for departure and check out of the hotel by early afternoon.

   • Board the boat at 2:00 PM to return to La Pavona.

   • Drive back to your original hotel destination, concluding the tour.
