7:30 AM – Hotel Pickup in San José
Get picked up from your hotel lobby in San José, Alajuela, or Heredia (within approximately 15 kilometers).
Meet your guide and begin your journey through Costa Rica's scenic Central Valley.
8:00 AM – Visit Doka Coffee Estate
Begin the day with a local breakfast at Doka Coffee Estate.
Join a guided tour of the coffee plantation to learn how coffee beans are cultivated, harvested, and processed.
Sample freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee and, occasionally, artisanal chocolate.
9:30 AM – Explore Poás Volcano National Park
Drive through Alajuela Province, passing through coffee fields, fern and flower farms, and strawberry plantations.
Arrive at Poás Volcano, situated at an elevation of approximately 2,708 meters (8,885 feet).
Walk approximately 10 minutes each way to the crater viewpoint.
Observe the steaming crater, fumaroles, and crater lake for approximately 20 minutes.
Entry is time-regulated to ensure minimal waiting and optimal viewing.
11:00 AM – Continue with Scenic Drive
Descend through varying ecological zones and enjoy views of the cloud forest, rural countryside, and waterfalls.
Travel towards La Paz Waterfall Gardens with opportunities to see local farmlands along the route.
12:00 PM – Arrive at La Paz Waterfall Gardens
