The itinerary

Day 01

Cuenca to Limón and Rainforest Canyoning

Meet your local tour guide at 9:30 am at the tour provider's office in Cuenca and begin your journey to Morona Santiago in el Oriente.
Arrive at your hotel in Limón at noon.
Enjoy a good lunch and spend some time exploring the small town.
Drive to the waterfalls for your canyoning adventure. These amazing waterfalls are located in the rainforest and offer a great opportunity for a little adventure in the jungle.
Return to Limón for a delicious dinner.

Day 02

Macas, Shuar Community, and Upano River Rafting

Enjoy breakfast and drive to Macas.
On the way, stop at a Shuar community for a walk to some waterfalls.
Watch typical dances, followed by a traditional meal.
Arrive at the Upano River in Macas and get on the boats.
While navigating the category 3 river, enjoy beautiful views of the jungle along the waterside.
Return to Macas and have a hearty dinner before settling in at the hotel.

Day 03

Animal Rehabilitation Center and Return to Cuenca

Start your morning after breakfast with a visit to an Animal Rehabilitation Center.
See animals that are typical of the Amazon rainforest, such as jaguars and other wild cats, as well as parrots, monkeys, sloths, and tapirs, to name just a few.
Have lunch, return to your hotel, collect your luggage, and depart back to Cuenca.
