Day 01

Sigiriya, Royal Gardens and Dambulla Cave Temple

• Pickup from the airport, hotel, or pre-established meeting point.

• Head towards Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla.

• Visit the Royal Gardens - Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, about 5.5 km west of Kandy.

• Climb to the Mirror Wall in Sigiriya.

• Stroll through the Boulder and Terraced Gardens.

• Admire the Sigiriya Frescos.

• Climb to the summit of the rock fortress and visit the Sky Palace.

• Lunch/meal break.

• Head towards the Dambulla Cave Temple complex.

• Enter the Cave of the Divine King Devaraja Lena.

• Take pictures of the Cave of the Great Kings.

• Visit the Great New Monastery.

• Return.
