Day 01

Pokhara to Deurali via Kande, Australian Camp, and Pothana

  • Drive from Pokhara to Kande, which takes approximately one hour.
  • Trek from Kande to Deurali, which takes around four to five hours.

  • Pass through Australian Camp and Pothana along the trail.

  • Walk through rhododendron forests and charming local villages.

Stay overnight at a teahouse in Deurali.

Day 02

Deurali to Forest Camp Through Dense Woodland

  • Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp, which takes approximately five to six hours.
  • Follow a peaceful and quiet trail through dense forests.

  • Enjoy lunch at Forest Camp or en route.

Stay overnight at Forest Camp, also known as Kokar.

Day 03

Forest Camp to High Camp with Expanding Mountain Views

  • Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp, which takes approximately six to seven hours.
  • Follow a steeper trail offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

  • Witness the transition from rhododendron and moss-covered forests to the alpine zone.

  • Enjoy stunning sunset views of Machhapuchhre from High Camp.

Stay overnight at High Camp.

Day 04

Mardi Himal Base Camp Excursion and Descent to Low Camp

  • Begin an early morning hike from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which takes around three to four hours.
  • Optionally, hike only up to the View Point at 4200 meters if preferred.

  • Witness panoramic views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Mardi Himal.

  • Spend time at Base Camp for photographs.

  • Return trek to Low Camp, which takes around four to five hours.

Stay overnight at Low Camp.

Day 05

Descend to Sidhing Village and Return to Pokhara

  • Trek from Low Camp to Sidhing Village, which takes approximately three to four hours downhill through forests.
  • Take a jeep ride from Sidhing to Pokhara, which takes around three to four hours.

  • Celebrate the completion of the trek in Pokhara.

  • One down jacket, which is essential above 3000 meters
  • One waterproof and windproof jacket such as Gore-Tex
  • Waterproof pants, which are optional but useful in monsoon or snow
  • Three to four pairs of quick-dry underwear
  • Two to three pairs of thermal socks for sleeping and higher altitudes
  • Three to four pairs of trekking socks; avoid cotton
  • Lightweight gloves and insulated gloves
  • Warm hat or beanie

  • Sunglasses with UV protection
  • Hiking boots that are well broken-in and waterproof
