3-Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari with Chimp Tracking

• Immediately after breakfast, you will start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated in the southwest part of the country.

• Stop at the equator and experience being in two hemispheres at the same time.

• Drive through Mbarara town, past the Bunyaruguru escarpments overlooking the Rift Valley, on your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

• Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Edward and Lake George.

Check in to the lodge for an overnight stay.

• After breakfast, you will proceed to Kyambura Gorge to track chimpanzees. You will be accompanied by a ranger who will guide you through the jungle, which may take 1-3 hours before you see the chimpanzees.

• During the tracking, you will not only encounter chimpanzees but also other primates.

• After this, return to the lodge for lunch.

• After lunch, go for a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will get the chance to see a huge population of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, many brightly coloured birds, and other water antelopes.

Later in the evening, return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

• After an early morning breakfast, your guide will take you for an early morning game drive in the Northern Crater area, where there is heavy grassland and dark lakes set into deep volcanic craters.

• You will see Baboon Point, where the landscape drops dramatically to form an escarpment. You will also get to spot several elephants, Ugandan kobs, lions, and other animals.

• After the game drive, have lunch and start the journey back to Kampala.

• If you want, stop at Mpambire Drum World and buy yourself a locally made drum as a souvenir.

• Get dropped anywhere you want in Kampala.
