Itinerary

1. Full-Day Godawari and Phulchowki Hike – Nature, Hills, and Himalayan Views

   7:00 AM – Depart from Kathmandu (Thamel)

   • Begin your journey from Thamel by taxi or local bus.

   • Enjoy a scenic 1-hour drive to the southern outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley.

   8:00 AM – Arrive at Godawari Botanical Garden

   • Explore the serene Godawari Botanical Garden, home to diverse plant species from Nepal’s subtropical and temperate zones.

   • Prepare for the day’s hike with a light stretch and water break.

   8:30 AM – Start the Hike to Phulchowki Hill

   • Begin ascending through dense forests rich in birdlife, wildflowers, and peaceful surroundings.

   • Pass through moss-covered trails and occasional rest points.

   10:30 AM – Midway Break

   • Pause to rest, hydrate, and enjoy partial views of the surrounding hills and villages.

   • Resume hiking as the terrain becomes steeper and cooler with elevation.

   12:00 PM – Reach the Summit of Phulchowki (2,782 meters)

   • Arrive at the highest point in the Kathmandu Valley.

   • Enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including Langtang and Ganesh Himal.

   • Take photos, relax, and enjoy packed snacks or lunch at the top.

   12:45 PM – Begin Descent to Godawari

   • Retrace the trail down through the forested path.

   2:30 PM – Arrive Back at Godawari

   • Return to the base and take a short break.

   3:00 PM – Depart for Kathmandu

   • Board your vehicle for the return journey to the capital.

   4:00 PM – Arrive in Kathmandu (Thamel)
