Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive to Dhunche and Trek to Chandanbari (Sing Gompa)

   • Begin the day with a scenic 6-hour drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche Bazaar (1,960 meters).

   • Pass through hills, terraced fields, and river valleys during the journey.

   • Start the trek uphill from Dhunche toward Chandanbari (Sing Gompa) at 3,330 meters.

   • Trek for approximately 6 hours, passing through lush forests and traditional Tamang villages.

   • Reach Chandanbari and settle into a teahouse for the night.

   • Visit the nearby monastery or explore the local cheese factory if time permits.

2. Day 2: Trek to Gosaikunda (4,380 meters)

   • Begin the day with a steady uphill climb from Chandanbari to the sacred lake of Gosaikunda.

   • Trek through high-altitude terrain and rhododendron forests, with panoramic views of the Langtang Himalayas.

   • Reach Gosaikunda after approximately 6 hours of trekking.

   • Explore the lake and surrounding area, revered by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims.

   • Take in the tranquil beauty and spiritual atmosphere of the alpine setting.

   • Stay overnight in a basic teahouse near the lake.

3. Day 3: Descend to Dhunche and Drive Back to Kathmandu

   • Begin the descent from Gosaikunda to Dhunche Bazaar, retracing your steps through mountain forests and village paths.

   • Trek for approximately 5 hours to reach Dhunche.

   • Enjoy a brief rest before boarding a vehicle for the 6-hour return drive to Kathmandu.

   • Arrive in Kathmandu by evening, marking the end of your Gosaikunda journey.
