Embark on a 8-day Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri trek through the heart of the Everest region. Begin with a scenic flight to Lukla, explore vibrant Sherpa villages, cross glacial rivers, and ascend to the stunning turquoise lakes of Gokyo. Itinerary

Day 1 – Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
- Take a scenic 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m).
Begin the trek by descending to the Dudh Koshi River through pine forests.
Pass through Sherpa villages before reaching Phakding (2,610m).
Overnight at a local teahouse.

Day 2 – Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
- Trek along the river and cross multiple suspension bridges.
Enter Sagarmatha National Park and climb steeply through the forest.
Spot Mount Everest for the first time before arriving at Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
Overnight in Namche.

Day 3 – Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole
- Depart Namche and follow the scenic high trail above the river.
Pass through Mongla and enjoy views of Thamserku and Ama Dablam.
Ascend gradually to Dole (4,200m), a quiet yak grazing village.
Overnight stay.

Day 4 – Trek from Dole to Machhermo
- Continue hiking along alpine terrain with panoramic views.
Pass through small settlements and sparse meadows.
Arrive at Machhermo (4,470m) and rest to acclimatize.
Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 5 – Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo Village
- Ascend along the Ngozumpa Glacier with views of surrounding peaks.
Pass several glacial lakes including Longpongo and Taboche Tsho.
Reach Gokyo Village (4,790m) near the beautiful Dudh Pokhari Lake.
Overnight stay.

Day 6 – Hike Gokyo Ri and Trek to Namche Bazaar
- Begin early morning hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for a panoramic Himalayan sunrise.
View Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
Descend to Gokyo, then retrace your route through Dole back to Namche.
Overnight at Namche.

Day 7 – Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla
- Trek down through rhododendron forests and Sherpa villages.
Cross familiar bridges and follow the Dudh Koshi River.
Arrive in Lukla and celebrate the end of the trek with your team.
Overnight stay.

Day 8 – Fly to Kathmandu
- Board a morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Transfer to your hotel upon arrival.
End of trek and free time in the capital.
