Stop 01: Satsuma Kiriko glasswork factory
- Satsuma Kiriko is a traditional style of cut glass born in Kagoshima at the end of Edo period (1600s-1800s) as a part of modernization. It is made by layering colored glass over clear glass and carefully cutting patterns into the outer layer. At the factory, you can watch the master craftsmen creating the glassworks.

Stop 02: Miyama pottery village
- Located in Miyama pottery village, Chin Jukan pottery is well-known as the birthplace of Satsuma ware with its history of over 400 years. The collection storage preserves a number of wares made by the successive generations and you can watch the craftsmen working at the studios as well.

Stop 03: Sakura Kaneyo soy sauce shop
- Since opened in 1927, Sakura Kaneyo soy sauce shop has been favored by local people around Ichiki Kushikino town for its original tastes of soy sauce and miso paste. Try soy sauce ice cream or shaved ice for tasting the culture of Kagoshima!!

Stop 04: Kagoshima bamboo center
- It’s not a well-known fact that Kagoshima has the largest area of bamboo forest in Japan. The farmers there used to make bamboo crafts such as baskets, sieves, and interior goods during winter. In 1966, the bamboo center was found to train the new craftsmen and carry on the tradition to the next generation. At the center, you can watch the process of weaving bamboo by craftsmen and their pupils.
