Day 1: Chennai to Pulicat – Explore Lake and Dutch Heritage
- Begin the day with an early morning pickup from Chennai at approximately 6:30 AM.
Drive 60 to 70 kilometers (approximately 2 hours) via Ponneri to reach Pulicat Lake.
Choose to take an optional guided boat ride on Pulicat Lake (at extra cost) for an opportunity to spot flamingos, pelicans, herons, and other migratory birds.
Visit the Pulicat Bird Sanctuary viewpoint for panoramic views of the lake and wetlands.
Explore historical remnants of Dutch presence, including the Dutch-era cemetery and the lighthouse at Pazhaverkadu village.
Check in at an eco-lodge or a heritage homestay in Pulicat or Sullurpeta.
Enjoy an evening walk along the backwaters or mangrove forests, ideal for photography and birdwatching.

Day 2: Sunrise Birdwatching and Return to Chennai

Return to your accommodation for breakfast.
