Itinerary

1. Day 1: Travel from Antananarivo to Taolagnaro (Fort Dauphin)

   • Board a domestic flight from Antananarivo to Taolagnaro, which takes approximately 2 hours depending on the flight schedule.

   • Meet your local guide at the airport upon arrival.

   • Transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest.

   • Embark on a short city tour of Taolagnaro to explore the coastal charm and local culture.

   • Relax on the beach during the afternoon.

   Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

2. Day 2: Explore Berenty Reserve (125 km – 2.5 hours)

   • Meet your driver and guide at the hotel reception after breakfast at 07:00 AM.

   • Depart for Berenty Reserve, a drive of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

   • Pass through scenic countryside, small Malagasy villages, baobab-dotted landscapes, lush rainforests, and colorful local markets.

   • Arrive at Berenty and check in at the lodge.

   • Participate in a light guided walk of about 1.5 hours to observe wildlife such as white lemurs, brown lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs, chameleons, snakes, tortoises, and a variety of birds.

   • Enjoy lunch at the lodge and take some time to relax.

   • Join a guided night walk before dinner to spot nocturnal wildlife including mouse lemurs, sportive lemurs, and more chameleons.

   Have dinner at the hotel.

3. Day 3: Visit Lake Anony and Return to Taolagnaro (100 km – 3.5 hours total)

   • Meet your guide at the reception around 08:30 AM after breakfast.

   • Drive approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes southward to Lake Anony via the town of Amboasary.

   • Witness vast agave plantations and beautiful dry landscapes en route.

   • Arrive at Lake Anony and observe flocks of pink flamingos in the wild.

   • Trek to the nearby sand dunes and enjoy views of the Indian Ocean.

   • Swim in the ocean if weather and time permit.

   • Eat lunch on the beach, taking in the coastal serenity.

   • After lunch, drive back to Taolagnaro (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes).

   Check in at the hotel and rest.

4. Day 4: Visit Nahampoana Reserve and Return to Antananarivo (Flight: 40 minutes)

   • Meet your guide early at the hotel reception around 07:00 AM.

   • Drive approximately 40 minutes to reach the Nahampoana Reserve.

   • Explore the reserve on a guided walk of about 1.5 hours to see groups of white, brown, and ring-tailed lemurs, as well as tortoises, chameleons, and birds.

   • Depart for Taolagnaro Airport following the visit.

   • Check in for your return flight to Antananarivo.

   • Fly back to the capital, ending the 4-day adventure.
