Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania – Transfer to Moshi
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at any time.
Meet your private transfer representative at the airport exit.
Drive to your hotel in Moshi town for check-in and relaxation.
Attend a pre-climb briefing and equipment check with your mountain guide.
Confirm mandatory medical and travel insurance coverage.
Prepare for the start of your Kilimanjaro expedition.

Day 2: Moshi to Lemosho Gate – Hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp
- Depart Moshi after breakfast and drive for approximately 4 hours to Lemosho Gate.
Complete park entry formalities and meet your mountain crew.
Begin your trek through unspoiled rainforest rich in flora and fauna.
Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp for overnight stay.
Elevation: 7,742 ft to 9,498 ft
Distance: 6 km / 4 miles

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
- Continue the ascent through forest and into open heathlands.
Cross streams and ascend gentle ridges to Shira Plateau.
Arrive at Shira 1 Camp where you will catch the first view of Kibo Peak.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut
- Hike across the Shira Plateau, one of the highest in the world.
Explore the moorland zone with scattered rock formations and lichens.
Divert off the main trail to reach Moir Hut, located at the base of Lent Hills.
Take an optional acclimatization hike on Lent Hills in the afternoon.

Day 5: Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
- Begin with a gradual ascent to Lava Tower, a 300 ft volcanic structure.
Stop at 15,190 ft for acclimatization before descending into the Barranco Valley.
Pass through the beautiful Senecio Forest before reaching Barranco Camp.
Elevation: 13,800 ft to 15,190 ft (Lava Tower), then to 13,044 ft (Barranco)

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
- Descend into a ravine and begin the steep ascent of the Great Barranco Wall.
Navigate several ridges and valleys to reach Karanga Valley.
Ascend once more to reach Karanga Camp for overnight rest.

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
- Depart Karanga and connect with the Mweka Trail.
Ascend over rocky terrain to reach Barafu Camp.
Prepare for the summit push with an early dinner and overnight rest.
Observe Mawenzi and Kibo peaks from the campsite.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Crater Camp
- Begin your summit attempt during daylight hours with slow and steady progress.
Reach Stella Point (18,900 ft) for sunrise views over the African plains.
Continue to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft), the highest point in Africa.
Descend briefly to Crater Camp and set up camp near Furtwangler Glacier.
Take optional short hikes around the crater or to Reusch Crater.

Day 10: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Transfer to Moshi – Depart Tanzania

Transfer to your hotel in Moshi for a refreshing shower and rest.
Depart for the airport or continue with a safari or Zanzibar beach extension.
