Itinerary

1. Day 1: Travel from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Uganda)

   • Begin your journey with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport.

   • Meet your professional driver-guide and receive a short briefing.

   • Depart Kigali and drive through the scenic Rwandan countryside en route to the Cyanika or Gatuna border.

   • Cross into Uganda and continue the journey through the rolling hills and terraced farms of either Kisoro or Kabale, depending on your assigned trekking region.

   • Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon or early evening.

   • Check in, relax, and prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

   • Enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

   Route: Kigali – Cyanika or Gatuna – Kisoro or Kabale – Bwindi

2. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience and Return to Kigali

   • Wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast at your lodge.

   • Drive to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

   • Join a small group and receive a gorilla family assignment based on your fitness level and location.

   • Begin your trek into the dense rainforest, accompanied by expert rangers and trackers.

   • Trek for 1 to 5 hours depending on gorilla movement and terrain conditions.

   • Spend a magical one hour observing a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat.

   • Return to the lodge for a quick lunch or enjoy a packed meal on the road.

   • Depart Bwindi and drive back to Kigali through the picturesque landscape.

   • Arrive in Kigali by early evening, marking the end of your gorilla trekking experience.

   • Drop off at your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
