Itinerary

1. Day 1 – Arrival in Dharamshala or McLeod Ganj and Local Sightseeing

   • Arrive in Dharamshala or McLeod Ganj by afternoon.

   • Visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex to witness the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism in exile.

   • Explore the serene Bhagsunag Temple and nearby waterfall.

   • Visit the neo-Gothic St. John in the Wilderness Church nestled in a forest.

   • Stroll through local markets to browse Tibetan handicrafts and enjoy a variety of cafes.

   Stay overnight in McLeod Ganj.

2. Day 2 – Triund Trek (Trek Day 1)

   • Begin the day with breakfast and a briefing for the Triund Trek.

   • Hike approximately 9 kilometers through oak, rhododendron, and deodar forests.

   • Take in panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range.

   • Enjoy sunset photography and stargazing from Triund Hill.

   Camp overnight in tents at Triund (shared or private options available).

3. Day 3 – Return from Triund and Leisure Day

   • Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas.

   • Descend back to McLeod Ganj by late morning.

   • Rest or opt to visit the Tibetan Museum or Namgyal Monastery.

   • Choose an optional yoga session or traditional Ayurvedic massage in the afternoon.

   Stay overnight in McLeod Ganj.

4. Day 4 – Kareri Village Trek (Trek Day 2)

   • Drive to Kareri Village after breakfast (approximately 1.5 hours).

   • Begin trekking to the base near Kareri Lake through alpine meadows and pine forests.

   • Pass through quaint shepherd huts, cross wooden bridges, and enjoy scenic river views.

   • Reach the campsite near Kareri Lake and stay overnight in tents under the stars.

5. Day 5 – Explore Kareri Lake and Departure

   • Enjoy early morning exploration and photography around the glacial Kareri Lake.

   • Begin your descent to Kareri Village (approximately 2 to 3 hours).

   • Drive back to Dharamshala and receive a drop-off at the airport or bus stand for your onward journey.
