Itinerary

1. Day 1: Johannesburg to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

   • Take a scheduled flight from OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) to Victoria Falls Airport.

   • Upon arrival, transfer to Shearwater Explorers Village and check in.

   • Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or browsing local craft markets within walking distance.

   • In the early evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, offering views of hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife.

   • Return for dinner and overnight at Shearwater Explorers Village.

2. Day 2: Victoria Falls Exploration

   • After breakfast, embark on a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls. Visit iconic viewpoints such as Main Falls, Devil’s Cataract, and Rainbow Falls.

   • Learn about the geological history and cultural significance of the Falls.

   • Optional: Take a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls for a bird’s-eye view of the gorge and spray.

   • In the evening, enjoy the immersive Boma Dinner and Drum Show – a traditional buffet dinner accompanied by music, dance, and storytelling.

   Overnight and dinner at Shearwater Explorers Village.

3. Day 3: Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park (Botswana)

   • After an early breakfast, transfer across the Zimbabwe-Botswana border to Chobe National Park.

   • Begin early at around 05:30–06:00 AM for a specialized birding safari in an open 4x4 vehicle with a birding expert.

   • Explore different habitats including riverine forest, open savannah, and floodplains.

   • Look for key species such as the African fish eagle, Pel’s fishing owl, white-fronted bee-eater, and woodland kingfisher.

   • Return to the lodge for a late morning breakfast on the deck, where guests can observe sunbirds, hornbills, and weavers in the surrounding trees.
