Itinerary

1. Day 1 – Drive to Kakani and Trek to Shivapuri Village

   • Begin the day with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Kakani, a tranquil hill station known for Himalayan views.

   • Start trekking through fragrant pine forests as you enter the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park.

   • Ascend gradually along forest trails and terraced fields.

   • Reach Shivapuri Village (2,272 meters), an eco-friendly settlement surrounded by natural beauty.

   • Settle in for a peaceful overnight stay amidst nature and traditional Nepali hospitality.

2. Day 2 – Trek to Budhanilkantha via Shivapuri Peak

   • Wake up early and begin the ascent to Shivapuri Peak, the second-highest hill around Kathmandu Valley.

   • Enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges from the summit.

   • Descend through dense forests rich in birdlife and occasional wildlife sightings.

   • Visit Nagi Gumba, a serene monastery set in the tranquil woods.

   • Continue the descent to Budhanilkantha, where you will visit the iconic reclining Vishnu statue.

   • Complete the 6 to 7-hour trek and return to your lodging.

3. Day 3 – Return to Kathmandu

   • Drive back to Kathmandu after breakfast.

   • Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

   • Explore local markets, visit nearby heritage sites, or simply relax.
