Know before you go

  • Participants must meet all snorkeling requirements listed below
  • The tour is weather dependent and may be adjusted for safety
  • Snorkeling takes approximately 2.5–3 hours of the total tour
  • The snorkeling section of the group is part of a small group (non private)

Silfra Snorkeling Requirements

Participants must:

  • Have read, signed, and followed directions on the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement
  • Sign a liability release form at the start of the tour
  • Be between 150 cm and 200 cm in height
  • Be between 45 kg and 120 kg in weight
  • Fit within the dry suit size chart
  • Be a minimum of 12 years old
  • Be comfortable in water and able to swim
  • Be physically fit
  • Be ready to wear a tight and sometimes constricting dry suit
  • Be able to communicate in English or have a translator available
  • Not be pregnant
  • Eat well before the tour

Participants are not allowed on tour without signing the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement and, if necessary, a physician’s approval which can be found on the second page of the Medical Statement document. Please read the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement prior to booking to make sure that you are eligible for the tour. Each participant must sign our liability release form at the start of the tour.
