Itinerary

1. Day 1 – Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimphu

   • Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide and driver for a warm welcome.

   • Begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan (approximately 1.5 hours).

   • Admire views of pine forests, rivers, and traditional Bhutanese villages along the way.

   • Check in to your hotel in Thimphu and proceed with sightseeing.

   Sightseeing in Thimphu

   • Visit Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world, overlooking the Thimphu valley.

   • Explore the Memorial Chorten, a significant site of daily worship for Bhutanese people.

   • Discover the grandeur of Tashichho Dzong, which houses the throne room and offices of the King.

   • Stroll through the local market or craft bazaar to experience Bhutanese arts and culture.

   Overnight stay in Thimphu.

2. Day 2 – Early Morning Transfer to Paro and Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

   • Begin the day early and drive to Paro (approximately 1.5 hours).

   • Start the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor.

   • Trek takes approximately 2 to 3 hours one way and passes through forests and scenic viewpoints.

   • Pause at the halfway cafeteria for rest and enjoy panoramic views of the monastery.

   • Reach Tiger’s Nest Monastery and explore its inner sanctuaries and sacred halls.

   • Descend and return to Paro town.

   Sightseeing in Paro

   • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century.

   • Spend leisure time exploring Paro town, visiting local shops, or relaxing at a café.

   Overnight stay in Paro.

3. Day 3 – Paro Sightseeing and Departure

   • After breakfast, enjoy a short sightseeing tour depending on your flight time.

   Morning Sightseeing 

   • Visit Rinpung Dzong, a striking fortress known for its fine architecture and historical importance.

   • Explore the National Museum (Ta Dzong), located in a former watchtower, which showcases Bhutanese heritage.

   • If time allows, enjoy last-minute shopping or take a peaceful stroll through Paro town.

   • Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure with unforgettable memories of Bhutan.
