Itinerary

1. Day 1: Explore Materuni Village – Waterfall and Coffee Tour

   Morning

   • Begin with a hotel pick-up in Moshi at 9:00 AM.

   • Drive to Materuni Village, a traditional Chagga community located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.

   • Start a guided hike through lush rainforest, taking approximately 45 minutes to reach the Materuni Waterfall, which stands about 80 meters high.

   Midday

   • Swim in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. This is optional, so bring a swimsuit if desired.

   • Return to the village and enjoy a freshly prepared Chagga lunch made by the local community.

   Afternoon

   • Participate in a traditional coffee-making experience. Pick, roast, grind, and brew Arabica beans with the guidance of local farmers.

   • Enjoy a cup of your own hand-crafted coffee.

   • Return to Moshi in the late afternoon or early evening.

2. Day 2: Relax at Kikuletwa Hot Springs (Chemka Hot Springs)

   Morning

   • Depart from your hotel in Moshi at 9:00 AM.

   • Take a scenic 1.5-hour drive through rural villages and Maasai landscapes to reach Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

   Midday

   • Swim and relax in the warm, turquoise waters of this natural geothermal spring.

   • Enjoy rope swings, a natural fish pedicure, and a picnic-style lunch. Food may also be purchased from local vendors.

   Afternoon

   • Spend time sunbathing, taking photos, or exploring the surrounding area on foot.

   • Begin the return journey at 3:00 PM.

   • Arrive in Moshi by late afternoon.
