Itinerary

1. Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

   • Pick up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam by your driver guide.

   • Drive to Mikumi National Park, a journey of approximately 5 to 6 hours.

   • Stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch.

   • Continue to Mikumi National Park after lunch.

   • Arrive in the afternoon for a game drive until sunset.

   • Observe lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and more.

   • Spot wild dogs in packs and enjoy the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain.

   • Watch over 300 bird species within the park.

2. Day 2: Full Game Drive in Mikumi National Park to Morogoro Town

   • Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge.

   • Begin a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes.

   • Option to have a hot lunch at the lodge.

   • Continue the game drive until 3:30 PM.

   • Drive to Morogoro Arc Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Morogoro to Nyerere National Park for Boat Safari

   • Have an early breakfast before beginning the journey to Nyerere National Park.

   • Drive through the Uluguru Mountains, crossing rivers and passing small local villages and farms.

   • Experience the wild and untouched area of Tanzania as you approach Nyerere National Park.

   • Arrive in Nyerere National Park for an afternoon boat safari.

   • Enjoy the opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird life along the riverbanks.

   • Watch crocodiles glide into the water and encounter hippos at close range.

4. Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

   • Start the day with breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park.

   • Explore the park in a 4WD vehicle, taking in the vast landscapes and wildlife.

   • Capture excellent photographic opportunities as you observe lions, elephants, wild dogs, buffalo, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, wildebeests, and greater kudu.

   • Discover the incredible biodiversity of Nyerere National Park, Africa's largest national park, covering over 30,200 square kilometers.

   • Learn about the history and establishment of Nyerere National Park in 2019.

5. Day 5: Walking Safari and Drive Back to Dar es Salaam

   • Wake up early for a cup of coffee or tea before heading out for a wilderness walking safari.

   • Enjoy a 2 to 2.5-hour walk with an armed ranger for safety.

   • Get an intimate experience of the African wild, observing animal footprints and droppings.

   • Return to the lodge for breakfast.

   • Start the drive back to Dar es Salaam.

   • Arrive in Dar es Salaam and get dropped off at a location of your choice.
