Danakil Depression/Afar Triangle which consists of Dallol, Erta'ale, hot springs and other natural resources. The Danakil Depression is explained with superlative words such as ‘wonderful’, ‘extraordinary’, etc. are very common. there is no way we can fully describe some natural, historical and cultural wonders without using these words. One of these is the magnificent natural scenery involving the Dalol Depression and Ert’ Ale Volcanoes.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival + Addis
- Arrive at Bole International Airport and transfer to Hotel and then, you will have a full day city tour of Addis, visiting the National Museum of Ethiopia, The Holy Trinity cathedral church, panoramic view of the capital from mount Entoto where was the former capital of Emperor Menelik II and Merkato, the largest open air market in Africa. Over night at Hotel

Day 2: Addis Ababa - Semera
- After an early breakfast, drive to Semera (the capital city of Afar Region) and on the way, observe different local markets and the daily life of local people. O/N at Hotel

Day 3: Semera - Lake Afdera - Erta’ale
- After breakfast, drive to Erta’ale, seeing the desert landscapes and view of Lake Afdera and, after arranging ground services of camping gear, and around the sunset start hiking to the active volcanic eruption of Erta’ale, which takes about 1 hour. Spend, the rest of the night at the rim. O/N Camping

Day 4: Erta’ale – Ahmed Ela
- After having breakfast and packing our camping and cooking gears, we will continue to driving to Ahmed Ela, in the late afternoon, you will enjoy the sunset of and swim in the natural salty basin having beers, and see the interesting Camel Caravans, which transport bars of salt to the Tigray Highlands. Day 5– Ahmed Ela – Dallol (in the Danakil Depression) – Ahmed Ela
- In the morning, drive to one of the lowest points on earth, Dallol (125 meters below sea level) to see the wonderful and colorful formation of sulfur/phosphorus and you will also visit the salt lake of Asale and discover how people get salt in traditional ways, then drive back to Semera. O/N at Hotel

Day 6: Semera - Harar
- Early in the morning after an early breakfast drive to Harar, where is considered as the 4th sacred place for Islam, on the way visit some local markets and different Towns, at night time, visit the hyena feeding spectacular by their famous feeder. O/N Hotel

Day 7: Harar - Dire Dawa
- In the morning, you will visit the walled city of Harar, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the fourth holy city of Islam, with 82 mosques and 102 houses of prayer, and then, drive to Dire Dawa and visit the railway of Dire Dawa and the traditional market. O/N at Hotel

Day 8: Dire Dawa - Addis Ababa
- After breakfast, drive back to Addis and on the way, visit the first gazetted National Park of Awash where you can see Beisa Oryx, Summering Gazelles, and other wild life, when you arrive at Addis, you will have a farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis where you can taste the variety of Ethiopian meals, and see the folkloric dances of the Ethiopians. Then, be transferred to the airport for your departure
