Day 01: Bogotá – Pitalito - San Agustín
- San Agustín, in southern Colombia, is home to the country’s most important archaeological site, offering a deep connection to its ancient past. At the UNESCO-listed San Agustín Archaeological Park, you'll explore monumental stone statues, tombs, and ceremonial fountains dating back thousands of years, surrounded by lush landscapes and the mighty Magdalena River.
Includes flight Bogotá–Pitalito, private transfer to San Agustín, and a guided visit to key sites like Mesitas A–D, Lavapatas, and the archaeological museum.
Please note: The tour begins at Bogotá’s Airport. We recommend arriving in Bogotá the day before the tour to ensure a smooth start. Additionally, the San Agustín Archaeological Park is closed every Tuesday of each month.Meals: none.

Day 02: ExploringSan Agustín’s Hidden Wonders: River, Ruins, and Waterfalls
- Today, we explore the stunning surroundings of San Agustín, starting with the Estrecho del Río Magdalena, where the river narrows to just 2.2 meters, offering crystal-clear views of its sandy bottom.
- We then visit Obando, a small town with tombs similar to those in Tierradentro, followed by the Alto de los Ídolos Park, home to a dense collection of San Agustín culture statues.
- The tour continues to Alto de las Piedras, where the mysterious "Double Self" is found, before concluding at the impressive Salto del Mortiño, a waterfall nearly 200 meters high.
Note: The Alto de los Ídolos and Alto de las Piedras parks are closed on the first Wednesday of each month.

Day 03: Colonial Charm in “The White City” of Popayán
- Today, we depart from San Agustín for a scenic 5-hour drive to Popayán (135 km).
- Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a 3-hour walking tour through the city’s historic centre, renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture and earning Popayán the title “The White City of Colombia.” Despite its small size, Popayán boasts a vibrant atmosphere, enriched by its cultural traditions and university presence. The city is also celebrated for its UNESCO-recognised Holy Week processions and Gastronomic Congress, making it a true cultural gem.

Day 04: Pereira: Gateway to Colombia’s Coffee Region
- Nestled in the heart of Colombia’s Coffee Triangle, Pereira offers year-round pleasant weather and easy access to lush plantations and natural wonders. Highlights include the Museum of Modern Art, a serene botanical garden, and nearby treasures like the towering wax palms of the Cocora Valley and the colourful towns of Salento and Filandia. Pereira is also the perfect base for visiting Los Nevados National Park, known for its volcanic peaks and striking páramo ecosystems.

Day 05: A Journey Through Colombia’s Coffee Culture
- No visit to Colombia is complete without experiencing its coffee heritage. Today, we head to a traditional coffee farm in Santa Rosa de Cabal, passing scenic viewpoints along the way.
- A local expert will guide us through the lush plantations, sharing insights on each step—from planting and harvesting to drying and roasting. We’ll even roast our own beans in a traditional kitchen and enjoy tastings of three coffee varieties.
- The visit ends with a look at the farm’s modern drying techniques.

- Today, we travel from Pereira to Medellín, crossing Colombia’s diverse landscapes—from the verdant hills of the Coffee Region to the vibrant valleys surrounding the City of Eternal Spring. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive as we make our way to one of Colombia’s most dynamic and innovative cities, where culture, history, and modern life blend seamlessly.

Day 07: Medellín: From Notoriety to Innovation
- Once known as one of the world’s most dangerous cities, Medellín has undergone a powerful transformation. This tour explores its remarkable journey—from the violent legacy of the Medellín Cartel and Pablo Escobar to the forward-thinking city it is today.
- We travel by Metro and cable car to Comuna 13, a former epicentre of conflict, now a vibrant symbol of resilience and creativity.
- We also visit iconic downtown spots like Berrio Park and Botero Plaza, where bold public art and urban renewal tell the story of a city reborn.
