From Sesriem to Swakopmund via Desert Passes

Know before you go

  • Dry Conditions: The Namibian desert is extremely arid. Pack lip balm and a nasal balm to protect against dryness, and stay well hydrated by carrying a reusable water bottle. Moisturizing lotion is also recommended.
  • Malaria Precautions: Parts of the tour route pass through malaria zones, particularly in the northern and northeastern regions. Consult your doctor prior to departure for appropriate antimalarial medication and bring insect repellent for additional protection.
