Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

   • Pickup from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel/residence after breakfast.

   • Travel to Amboseli National Park, passing through scenic countryside and rolling landscapes, with occasional stops for fresh air and photos.

   • Arrive at AA Lodge Amboseli for check-in and lunch.

   • Spend the afternoon relaxing before heading out on an evening game drive. Experience cooler temperatures and observe predators such as lions and hyenas becoming more active. Capture photographs of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

   • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Amboseli

   • Start the day with breakfast, followed by a full-day game drive inside Amboseli National Park, with a picnic lunch provided.

   • Explore both the swampy areas and dry plains of the park. Herds of elephants gather near waterholes and swamps. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro offers an iconic view above the savannah.

   • Spot lions resting in the shade, cheetahs hunting gazelles, ostriches, wildebeests, and numerous bird species such as pelicans, herons, and kingfishers.

   • Visit the observation hill for panoramic views of the park’s wetlands and wildlife activity.

   • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

   • Arrive at Lake Naivasha Resort for lunch.

   • Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake. Optional activities include a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to observe hippos and fish eagles. Birdwatching opportunities are available in the resort’s gardens, with sightings of cormorants, kingfishers, and African fish eagles.

   • Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.

4. Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park

   • After breakfast, check-out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. En route, take a brief morning game drive as you approach the park gates.

   • After relaxing, embark on an evening game drive, ideal for observing big cats like leopards and lions in their active hours.

   • Visit Baboon cliffs for a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding area.

   • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

5. Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

   • Arrive at Sentrim Mara Camp in time for lunch.

   • After a short rest, head out for an evening game drive. Observe predators like lions, hyenas, and leopards, while grazers such as zebras and antelopes continue feeding in the Mara’s iconic golden light.

   • Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

6. Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara – Mara River Visit

   • Explore the vast landscapes, dotted with acacia trees, riverine forests, and open plains.
