Know before you go

Health considerations:

The altitudes on this trip often exceed 4,000 meters (13,000 feet) and can cause altitude sickness, even in healthy individuals. Common symptoms include headache, nausea, dizziness, and shortness of breath.

To reduce risks:

  • Stay hydrated.
  • Avoid alcohol.
  • Eat light meals.
  • Allow time to acclimate.
  • Consider medication under medical advice.

This tour is not recommended for people with serious heart or respiratory conditions or for pregnant women. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor. Some travelers choose to bring personal oxygen for added comfort.

Immigration note:

If you need a visa to enter Bolivia, we strongly recommend checking the latest requirements with your local embassy or consulate in advance. Some nationalities can obtain the visa at the border, but it is important to bring all the necessary documentation and the fee in cash.

Please keep in mind:

You're about to explore one of the most stunning and remote regions of South America. Bolivia is a developing country, and while we do our very best to provide a high level of service, not all amenities (electricity, heating, internet, hot water) are guaranteed at every stop.

We appreciate your understanding and adventurous spirit-this is part of what makes the journey so unique and unforgettable.

Changes due to force majeure - important: This is a reference itinerary.

The route to the salt flats, the places visited, their order, and the tour's ending time are all subject to change based on weather conditions, road situations, events, and accommodation availability. The itinerary will be confirmed during the briefing provided by the operator one day before the start of the activity. However, it may still be modified if any of the aforementioned situations occur once the tour has already started.
