Itinerary

1. Day 1 & 2: Victoria Falls (Zim)

   • Upon arrival into Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Victoria Falls Hotel by road where you will stay for two nights. 
   • When you're there: Victoria Falls is an exciting hive of activity. 
   • After a day spent exploring the beautiful waterfalls area – one of seven natural wonders of the world – it's time for some action.
   • A scenic flight over the falls is amazing, and the sunset river cruises are a must; walking safaris are popular highlights, and there are many adventure activities available for the young-at-heart, including excellent white water rafting and canoeing safaris.
   • Spend two days exploring Victoria Falls and either cramming in the activities or relaxing in your safari lodge with a beautiful view, a cool drink and the wonderful African weather.

2. Day 3 & 4: Chobe National Park

   • Following breakfast and leisurely morning, you will be transferred by road to Chobe Game Lodge in the Chobe National Park, where you will stay for two nights. 
   • On the way: It's about an hour’s transfer from Vic Falls to Kasane, where you will meet with your lodge guide. 
   • It's a scenic drive and even along the sides of the tarred road you could spot elephants and other wildlife. 
   • Cross the border from Zimbabwe into Botswana, an experience in itself. 
   • Then you're off on safari right away. When you're there: Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge situated within the boundaries of Chobe National Park. 
   • Built along the riverbanks with spectacular views of the Chobe River and floodplains, this well-established lodge is a prime venue for guests to explore the Chobe National Park. 
   • The Chobe River attracts earth's greatest concentration of elephant. 
   • Knee-deep in the gentle river's flooded plains, elephants nibble in their numbers on the juicy jackalberry and mangosteen trees that tower above the ground with huge dense canopies. 
   • The schedule of activities is flexible and varied with optional motorboat safaris, canoeing safaris, guided walks, fishing, sunset river cruises and game drives into Chobe National Park on offer at a time and frequency that suits you.

3. Day 5 & 6: Okavango Delta

   • Following the morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your onward air transfer to your first lodge in the Okavango Delta. 
   • You are heading to the remote Nxaragha Island. 
   • On the way: Transfer out of the park (another game drive) and then meet your pilot for a quick briefing. Load your luggage and hop on board your aircraft taking to the skies. 
   • Watch the landscape change as you fly over the park and into the Okavango Delta. 
   • Look out for wildlife. It's easy to spot elephants and larger animals from up there. 
   • It's vast and spectacular. 
   • When you're there: Your stay will include all water-based activities through the meandering, reed-lined waterways. A way to get up close with the unique landscape and the abundance of wildlife. 
   • You can also enjoy a walking safari on a number of nearby islands. 
   • A real safari experience in one of Africa's most raw wilderness areas.

4. Day 7 & 8: Okavango Delta

   • After an early morning activity (as time allows) and breakfast, you will be transferred to Camp Moremi by light aircraft where you will stay for the next two nights. 
   • On the way: Whichever way you approach it, the Okavango Delta opens up slowly to reveal its vast, watery wilderness. The land changes from harsh acacia woodlands to lush islands with broad-leafed and riparian woodlands, towering palms and thickets of impenetrable bush. 
   • Flying from one camp to another gives you a different perspective of the vast water world beneath you. 
   • Your camp is in the Moremi Game Reserve, an incredible area for wildlife and you'll be doing a combination of land- and water-based safari activities here. 
   • When you're there: Morning and afternoon game drives on the floodplains are punctuated by delta-boat safaris through the channels and waterways of the Okavango. 
   • Camp Moremi is situated on the edge of lagoon in the delta; your tented room has a private balcony overlooking the action and the main lodge has a large game viewing deck and a comfortable lounge and living area. 
   • Wildlife in the Moremi Game Reserve is prolific including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and plenty of antelope including the rare red lechwe. 
   • Birding is superb with hundreds of species on record, plenty of specials and some renowned birding spots.

5. Day 9 & 10: Makgadikgadi Pans

   • Following the morning activity, you will be transferred to Leroo La Tau by light aircraft where you will stay for the last two nights.
   • On the way: Game drive back to the airstrip to board your light aircraft transfer from the Okavango Delta to your next location, the Makgadikgadi Pans. 
   • It's another sensation as you fly over the winding channels of the delta and then end up flying over the vast and endless pans of the desert in Botswana. 
   • Surreal to experience on the ground. 
   • Even better to see it from above. It's hard to believe you're still in the same country. 
   • When you're there: Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti River which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. 
   • The Makgadikgadi offers a completely different experience to the Okavango. 
   • Here, vast pans shimmer into the distance that, in the rainy summer, fill up with water attracting thousands of flamingos, pelicans and migratory waders and woodland birds. 
   • The summer rains also attract the second largest mammal migration in Africa as thousands of zebra, wildebeest and other antelope escape the predators up north for some succulent grass down south. 
   • The winter dry season offers good general game viewing and fascinating exploration expeditions to the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans.

6. Day 11: Maun (Departure / End of Tour)

   • Wake up and enjoy your last morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, before you will be transferred to Maun by light aircraft for your onward travel arrangements.
