Jewish Quarter, Street Art, and Ruin Bars of Budapest
- Our tour starts at the Opera House, where you will briefly learn about the history of Budapest and Hungary. We will spend some time on the stunning Andrssy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a peek into the Opera House lobby.
- From here, the walk turns from elegant to underground as our next stop is the bohemian Jewish Quarter. While learning about the culture, history, and traditions of the Jewish community in Pest, we will walk by three of the district's great historic Jewish temples, including Europe's largest synagogue on Dohny Street.
- The streets of the district are like a huge open-air gallery, filled with famous street art pieces that tell the story of the city's past and present.
- And of course, Budapest's legendary nightclubs are not to be missed. The tour includes a visit to the city's oldest ruin bar and a stroll through the bustling Gozsdu Courtyard, one of Budapest's nightlife hubs.
- Our walk ends at the Szimpla ruin bar, which is easily accessible from metro line 2, trams 47 and 49, and several bus lines.
