Tashkent to Small Chimgan Peak Trek
- After a hearty breakfast, we set out for the scenic Chimgan Village, located about 85 km from Tashkent. Upon arrival at the Fanat Sanatorium in Chimgan, we begin our exciting trek to Small Chimgan Peak, which rises proudly to 2,099 meters.
- Starting from an elevation of 1,578 meters, we ascend approximately 520 meters, passing through the stunning landscapes of Chimgan Village and the surrounding valley. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the mighty Greater Chimgan Peak, which stands at 3,309 meters.
- Reaching the saddle, you will find yourself in a tranquil setting surrounded by ancient juniper trees, home to the rich wildlife of the Chimgan mountains. The trail then becomes more challenging, with steeper sections that add an extra thrill to the adventure.
- At the summit, you are rewarded with sweeping panoramic views - Charvak Lake shimmering in the distance, the towering mountains of Kyrgyzstan, and the enchanting Karjantau range.
- We take a well-deserved break at the peak to enjoy a picnic lunch, soak in the scenery, and snap photos beside the iconic "Small Chimgan Height 2,099 m" sign in Russian.
- After some rest, we descend by an alternate route, leading us through lush forests on the mountain's eastern slopes. This gentler path offers a more relaxed return to the saddle and our starting point.
- Upon arrival back at the base, we conclude the trek and drive back to Tashkent.
