Travel insurance – Please ensure you have personal medical/trip coverage; it’s not provided by the tour

Hotel accommodation – The tour ends around 21:00; lodging before or after is not part of the package

Airport or railway transfers – Pick-ups/drop-offs outside central Tashkent can be arranged for an additional fee

Meals outside the stated lunch and dinner – Snacks, gelato, or coffee stops along Broadway are self-paid

Photography permits for professional equipment – Standard cameras/phones are fine, but special tripod or drone permits (if required) are not included

Unexpected entry fees for temporary exhibitions – If a museum hosts a premium special exhibit, its surcharge is optional and payable on site

Know Before You Go

The tour runs 09:00 – 21:00. If you’re arriving the same morning by train or plane, schedule a pickup at least 1 hour before start-time to avoid delays.

High season (April–June, Sept–Oct) sells out fast; secure your date 1–2 weeks in advance.

Summers are hot (35–42°C) with strong sun; winters hover around 0°C but feel colder in open squares—dress in layers.

Modest attire is required for mosque interiors: shoulders and knees covered; women may borrow a scarf on-site but bringing your own is easier.

Uzbekistan is largely cash-based. Withdraw or exchange Uzbek soum (UZS) the night before; ATMs can run out on weekends.

The tour fee covers entrance tickets and two meals; keep small notes (10,000–20,000 UZS) for market snacks and tips.

Smartphone and DSLR photography are welcome almost everywhere. Flash is forbidden on the 7th-century Qur’an.

Drones need prior written permission from the Civil Aviation Authority—apply at least 10 days ahead.

Pavements can be uneven near Chorsu Bazaar—watch your step and wear sturdy shoes.

It’s polite to accept a small taste of nuts or fruit offered by vendors—even if you don’t buy.

Local SIM cards (Uzmobile, Beeline) provide cheap 4G; buy one on arrival for maps and messaging.

Wi-Fi is patchy outside cafés; download offline Google Maps for Tashkent beforehand.

Standard lunch includes lamb; vegetarian or halal-only variants are available with 24 h notice.

Wheelchair users can join but must skip certain metro stations with no lifts—request an adapted route when booking.

Your guide speaks English; many locals speak Russian rather than English. A few Uzbek phrases (rahmat = thank you) go a long way.

Camera or smartphone – Tripod allowed in most outdoor areas; drones require prior permit
